Sunday Morning Classes

Central offers a variety of weekly classes at 9:45am.

Arts, Literature & Faith

The “Alfies” class is taught by it’s members & guest speakers, and concentrates on issues of faith as related through literature and the arts. Areas of study include music, church history, Western & Eastern religions, & ideas that stretch the boundaries of faith.

Harmony

The Harmony Class concentrates on Bible study The with emphasis on Christian views of current
issues with plenty of class discussion. This class supports community affairs, children’s hospitals, food and financial aid for the homeless, and Sacramento Methodist Assembly. Meets in room 317.

Asbury

The Asbury Class is lead by its members & guest speakers, and focuses on Bible studies & current issues with Biblical interpretation. The class supports McCurdy Mission School Meets in the Chapel. through their prayers & service. Meets in Room 308.

Partnership

Partnership Class is taught by class members and concentrates on analysis of social issues through Bible study and other topics. The class is active in community social projects and supports many programs of the church. Meets in room 315.

Celebration

The Celebration Class focuses on spiritual issues addresses through the Lectionary. This class also supports the children’s Sunday School Through its prayers and service. Meets in room 313 (the Library)

Priorities

The Priorities class is geared toward those who want to involve themselves in an interactive study of the Bible. Meets in room 309.

Class of Promise

The Class of Promise studies a wide variety of topics, including Biblical principals and how to apply them in every day life and relation- ships. Meets in room 103.

Providence

Providence Class is taught by class class members & guests and focuses on a Broad range of topics with emphasis on Biblical study & fellowship. The class supports a variety of projects within Central UMC & the community. Meets in room 311.
