Kids in Mission
The children of Central UMC are passionate about missions.
Throughout the year the children participate in a variety of mission opportunities.
From packing sack lunches for our Helping Hands program, to raising money to help build wells for UMCOR’s WASH project, our kids getting excited about helping others.

VBS Mission Project 2010
Thanks to your generosity we were able to donate more than $750, 68 fleece blankets, 2500+ can tabs and a car full of food and non-perishables to the Ronald McDonald House on Yale and the Ronald McDonald Room at UNM Hospital. Thank you!
Our kids are currently working on:
The Wings ministry and APS Title 1 are in need of school supplies and backpacks. Wings helps families with loved ones who are in jail.
APS Title 1 helps homeless kids go to school. Both groups do an amazing job of helping kids succeed in the midst of the difficulties of life.

If you are able, please take the kids in your life shopping to buy school supplies for Wings and Title 1 kids in need. Both groups have said that the general school supply lists, available in most stores, include the items they need. Items can be brought to the bins at the front desk marked “Wings” and “Title 1”.
Whether or not you are able to help by purchasing school supplies and backpacks, you can help by keeping these life changing groups in your prayers and the prayers of your family.
Helping your family be generous in their thoughts and prayers and in their giving, will make a difference, not only to the kids who will receive your gifts,
but to you and your family as well.
Thank you for all the ways you are God’s hands and feet in the world!
