Special Performances
Special Concert, Wednesday, November 2, 7:30 pm
Featuring the University of Southern California Concert Choir, Sandia High School Concert Choir, and CUMC Chancel Choir. The USC concert choir is internationally known as one of the finest choral ensembles in the world. Under the direction of Jo-Michael Scheibe, this choir has won numerous awards. We are honored to host this remarkable ensemble in our sanctuary. Our Chancel Choir and Sandia High School Concert Choir will sing segments of the concert and one combined piece. The concert is free and donations are gratefully accepted. The USC choir is attending a choral competition in Missouri.
Easter Eve
That Great Gettin’ Up Mournin’ is an Easter Eve Celebration featuring traditional gospel music, instrumental jazz combo, No Boundaries worship band and Central’s adult choirs
Christmas Eve
Special musical performances on Christmas Eve, including Children’s Musical at 5:00 pm; 6:30 pm Contemporary Christmas Service; 8:00 pm Lessons and Carols; 11:00 pm Communion.
Opportunities are available to play in instrumental ensembles or as an accompanist
