still affecting New Mexicans today, from our guest speaker, Lily Spurgeon. In the coming weeks, we will look specifically at our city and what makes it so unique, leading to listening to stories from our many neighbors in our community.

Lily Spurgeon
Lily is a bilingual Community Health Worker (CHW) and Peer Support Specialist, using her experience as a first-generation Latina and person in recovery to advocate for underrepresented voices in behavioral health. She is the Program Coordinator for the UNM Collegiate Recovery Center, the first in New Mexico. Lily is also the Outreach and Marketing Director for the NM Peer Coalition and Soul Recovery Café, supporting individuals in recovery. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish from UNM and is pursuing a Master's in Public Administration. Additionally, she serves on UNM's CASAA Community Advisory Board. Lily is very knowledgeable about our state and understands how its diversity influences life in Albuquerque.
